I’m a photographer and artist. I have a show coming up and wanted the perfect frame for some Platinum Palladium alternative process portraits I made of my grandfather. I absolutely love the look of these frames and they go perfectly with the process and type of image. The quality is wonderful, the color of the wood is beautiful, and I adore the unique way the frames are built and put together. I can’t wait to frame all the images for an upcoming group show. The price is perfect for what you receive. I will be putting a different glass in the frame and hoping it fits. I’m not crazy about the acrylic glossiness I’d rather have the option of a non glare for an extra fee but I’ll make it work.Update: I have framed four images and truly love how they can out. I did modify how I’m hanging them mostly because they will be in a gallery. I had my prints I made with mat I had already cut out. Luckily the mat I had and the mat that it cane with was the same thickness, 4ply the window mat and back board. I also switched out the plexiglass that was given to something the was non-glare. I wanted people to be able to read the short story and see the image without glare. This did make one of them a little tight. The rest fit. Hand made products sometimes require some additional support. Which is why I taped the back as you can see in the photo. Still easy to switch if I want because of how I mounted my hardware but the way they were to hang required gallery wiring, as seen in photo. I do have another show coming up and I’ll be using these again. They are perfection. [...]
